On Thursdays at Heartline...

(cross-posted here and at traceyjay quilts)

Oh please oh please do go read this post...

The grand opening of the shop (with giveaway prizes for people who want to make something to donate -- Email me a picture if you want to donate some fabric for the giveaway!) is Tuesday, February 1.

You know, Lee said it best a few weeks ago... the more I read about Heartline, the more I like it.

I feel the same way.  I feel excited to be able to do our little part, as a united bloggy world, to help out.

-----------
If you'd like to donate an item to the shop... make sure you have some high quality pictures and a description ready, and then email it to me (oh, don't forget a price!).  Because of how the payments are set up to go directly to Heartline, you will need to pay for the shipping unless you make arrangements for a separate invoice with your buyer (make sure you include that in the description!)

Welcome!

If this is your first time coming over here, welcome!

Please sign up to be a follower (over on the right hand side over there).  We are working on getting email updates... but I know nothing about that, and haven't had a chance to research it yet, but we will!

Quilt Hope In is, essentially, a collaboration of quilters who, can accomplish far more together than separately.  We will be making quilts and other handmade projects, listing them in a little etsy shop, and then giving the proceeds to Heartline Ministries.  I chose this organization because of the incredible need they have, the life-changing work they are doing, and the honest reputation they have earned.  They are also the organization that Heather, the author of the blog post that originally inspired me to do something, is associated with.

Lee does a great job of describing some of the background here.

Right now --

  • I am working on getting the funding links all sorted for the etsy shop.  We might not always be with etsy, but for now it seems like the best place.
  • I am gathering sponsors who will make a donation of fabric for our grand opening (and possibly beyond) to someone who promises to make a quilt for our little shop
  • Trying to get all the other little logistical things organized so that there aren't any major glitches when we open up -- but we can just get wonderful items from you, and truly help some of the world's most needy
Some sponsors so far!

Grand opening coming soon!

I'm working to finalize the donation details, but if you have a quilt (or other item), then you can email me with the specs.

I hope to have the Grand Opening sometime around the 12 - 15th.

If you are a fabric shop that would like to sponsor a fabric bundle (that will go to someone who will make a quilt for our shop), please email me as well!

A HUGE Thank you to Lee for our blog design! :)

Stay tuned.

And sign up to be a follower. :)
